Wagestream

Wagestream is a fintech platform that allows employees to stream their earned wages into their accounts whenever they need it through a simple, instant app. Having raised significant funding with Balderton, QED and Northzone, as well as from the private funds of both Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos, the busines was looking for a high calibre, high potential first-time Finance Director to join the business at an early stage as they began to scale their product and enter new markets.

We initially set out to find an experienced Finance Director in Fintech, however the search evolved to a point where it became clear Wagestream just needed a sector agnostic, highly dynamic, intelligent and hungry individual with excellent operational skills to build a fit-for-purpose finance function that would withstand the exponential growth Wagestream were experiencing. They hired Tim Parsons due to his excellent experience in financial plumbing and control, as well as exposure to growth tech environments with both Rated People and Adapt.
