Matt was hired for his high calibre and strong potential. Through his background at Capital One he had a great understanding of financial services and the regulatory complexities of a business like Transferwise. Heavy strategic and data focus having being trained at McKinsey and spending a number of years at Google in a finance role heavily focuses on strategy and business modelling. Joining at Series C, Matt has since supported the business in raising $200m in VC and x5 in valuation to $3.5bn.
